Amalgamation of Life, Director

Deep Dive Friday!

What? You mean I just posted this? I know! With the holiday and my recent confession to being busy, I figured you guys deserved a bit more love.

It’s time for peek of the day – one of the scripts I’m dying to try one day is…

Disenchanted by Dennis T. Giacino

There’s no secret that I love Disney and there’s no secret that I love comedy and general shenanigans. This show is kind of the perfect amalgamation of the two for me. Specifically, this show raises awareness on some of the nonpositive feminist plots I see with some Disney movies, shows, music, etc. The ladies of the show are meant to be powerful versions of their characters (excluding maybe Sleeping Beauty).

Plus? It’s fun. There’s some heavy moments that make you rethink of what you saw in what may be your favorite movies, but the pause lends itself to humor and genial self flagellation. It’s truly a positive roast session of classic Disney themes with modern comedic jabs. I think I’m going to find a way to propose this one in the near future, ’til next time.
